I just learned of Eddie's passing and am so sorry I missed coming to his service. Eddie was a faithful supporter of my husband, Jerome, when he pastored Wayside Baptist Church, and a faithful, hard working member who loved the Lord. He made many repairs to the pastorium and never complained about the extra work except once: Jerome had tried to do a plumbing job and messed it up. Eddie came to bail him out and said, "Preacher, how about you stick to preaching and let me handle the plumbing!" A true servant, just like his parents. I grew up with you at wayside, along with your entire family who became a bigger part of our family! I was sad when i read the news but in an instant, i realized you have your new angel wings, and thought about your new home up there and saw blue skies in my mind!
