I just learned of Eddie's passing and am so sorry I missed coming to his service. Eddie was a faithful supporter of my husband, Jerome, when he pastored Wayside Baptist Church, and a faithful, hard working member who loved the Lord. He made many repairs to the pastorium and never complained about the extra work except once: Jerome had tried to do a plumbing job and messed it up. Eddie came to bail him out and said, "Preacher, how about you stick to preaching and let me handle the plumbing!" A true servant, just like his parents. I grew up with you at wayside, along with your entire family who became a bigger part of our family! I was sad when i read the news but in an instant, i realized you have your new angel wings, and thought about your new home up there and saw blue skies in my mind! Which means that HEAVEN IS A BRIGHTER MORE BEAUTIFUL PLACE SINCE YOU EARNED YOUR WINGS! We love you so much down here and I'll always remember our friendship because you were always so nice to me! Eddie was a wonderful servant for the Lord! He will be Greatly missed by many but especially by the Vaughn Forest family. Dale and I appreciate all the ways he gave of his talents and time. We pray that the love of God will surround Sharon and their family during this sad time. Dale & Tracey Wilson
