Mr William Carter Hodgson Jr.'s Obituary
William Carter Hodgson, Jr., age 40, passed away unexpectedly on January 1, 2026 in Montgomery, Alabama. He was born on April 18, 1985 in Montgomery. He graduated from The Montgomery Academy; attended the University of Mississippi and graduated with a B.S. degree in Finance from Auburn University at Montgomery.
Bill worked and lived in Louisiana, Texas and Florida before returning to Montgomery recently to be closer to his family. He is survived by his parents, Bill and Jan Hodgson; his sister, Blair DuQuesnay and brother-in-law, Henry Clay DuQuesnay and his cherished nephew and niece, Bobby and Anne; and aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jean Lee Hodgson and Robert Henry Hodgson, Jr. and Edith R. and Samuel Blair Hambrick.
Bill’s love for family and friends was unmeasurable. His faith, family and friends mattered more than anything to him. Spending time with his family brought him his greatest pleasure.
A celebration of life and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 10th at 10:00 am followed by a visitation and reception at Saint James Episcopal Church 347 South Central Ave. in Alexander City, Alabama.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to: Our Place Respite, Inc., P.O. Box 404, Alexander City, AL.35011 or to one’s favorite charity.
