Where do i begin about Wes. He was over the dorm where my son was from 2017 to 2020. He first greeted me with a smile and it took off. We spoke of the Lord right from the beginning. You could feel the Holy Spirit in Wes. I would always press him for what I could get for him at the store. He always said he was ok. But I would still buy him cokes and snacks. And like every one else mentioned, he has a smile that was warmer than the sun. He was always patient with me and my signing. I’m hearing. Wes talked often of his family and i felt like i knew his mom and daughter, and all his family really thru the stories he told me. He was so proud of them all. I’m so honored to have known Wes. He was a shining light and one of the best men I’ve ever known. My life is so much richer for him having been in it. I look forward to seeing him in heaven. I know he is with his Jesus now, still grinning ear to ear.

One of greatest Gentlemen and very contagious with his smile that can’t go wrong! He will always be remembered everyday! He will be greatly miss but I will see you in the next Level! Little Brother!
Deepest sympathy I remember Wesley would come to Daviston school on Days and visit, his Mother would be there also and I watched her talk to him I just waved my hand he was so man able So I learned how to spell my name with my hand and he knew me from then on last I seen him was in front of The Morans Station and he knew who I was and I knew who he was some Good Folks from Daviston Alabama

Watching Wesley and Rocky Truman grow up from mischievous boys to become fine young men. I have so many great memories of Wesley growing from a student to becoming a good friend. One of my favorite students and athletes at ASD. RIP my friend. Coach Hackney
My fondest memory is when I first joined ASD he welcomed me and was a very caring person with lots of humor and goofiness!! He sure loved sports and his students!! He always would help anyone in need! He will be missed!! Love ya Wesley!
