Funeral service for Sara Tom Price, 95, of Alexander City will be Thursday, October 10, 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. Faron Golden will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 10, 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at Radney Funeral Home.
Mrs Price passed away on Monday, October 7, 2024. She was born on December 2, 1928 in Tallassee, Alabama to Harvey Patterson and Fannie Patterson. Sara Tom began her professional career with Russell Corporation in 1951 at the Main Office and later at the Sales Office, pouring decades of diligence and care into her work before retiring. Moreover, it was in her steadfast faith that Sara Tom truly found her calling. As a charter member of Calvary Heights Baptist Church, she taught Sunday School and GA’s. She witnessed the church transition into Grace Pointe Baptist Church, never wavering in her attendance or her love for the Lord.
Sara Tom enjoyed multiple social activities and brought joy to many. Her absence will be deeply felt, but the impact of her kindness will forever remain. Her journey on this earth has ended, but her spirit shall continue to guide us. Rest well, Sara Tom, for you are now in the loving embrace of our Father.
She is survived by her sister, Joyce Robinson of Alexander City; niece, Denita Oliver of Alexander City; great-niece, Rebecca Oliver of Auburn; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 60 years, Hayward Price; and brother, Harvey Fred “Freddie” Patterson.
