Thoughts and Prayers for the family and friends.
My Mom (Virginia Futral) and I (Wendy F Anderson) send our deepest sympathies. Mom loved Rose and she loved Mom. My Mom was the only substitute she would allow to teach her class. She would take a week off and Mom taught the students all about the farm and honeybees.
She came to my Dad's funeral in June. We love Mrs Benton! I always think of her when I hear a piano. No program at Kellyton would have happened without her.
Rose was a special lady! She always said how she loved how my dad and mom would go down Tallapoosa River to visit with Curtis and her. When I was hired to teach at JP, she was so very helpful in helping me feel welcome. Always made learning fun for her 1st graders. Occasionally Elvis (Curtis) would call and her class would be so amused. A precious lady.
Q: What will you miss most about Rose?
A: I will miss her laughter the most! Our conversations that sometimes lasted for hours. Rose was the most caring person I've ever met and she always seemed to know what to say. Sometimes the things she did say would have you belly laughing till you were crying and telling her to stop! I'll miss that the most!! I'll cherish our friendship forever!! 🌹🌹 Until we see each again, I'll always remember how you made me smile!! Johnette

I grew up in Kellyton Baptist Church with Rose playing the music. She was a sweet lady. Sorry for your loss.
I will miss you sweet Rose. I thank the good Lord for such a thoughtful and kind spirited friend. May you rest well!
Q: What will you never forget about Rose?
A: I had the privilege of working with Rose for many years at Kellyton School. I will always remember her dedication to her students and how she wanted each one to have a the best learning experience in her classroom. Rose loved her students, her school, her church and her community. She was a precious friend. Tell me

Brent, I'm so sorry to hear about your Mother. I've known her since HS. She played at our wedding , and her Mom did the flowers. She asked me to paint her a single rose. I did , and she would text me about how much she enjoyed it. She will be missed by so many people. Dianne H. Moore.
