Robert Eben Spink's Obituary
Robert Eben (Eb) Spink, Dadeville, AL passed away peacefully surrounded by family at his home, June 4, 2024. He was born April 1, 1949 in Jacksonville, IL son of Robert (Bob) Spink, and Ella Jane Spink Rammelkamp. Eb began his working career in social services with an emphasis on legislation for the special needs population. He then ventured into the business world, starting and building a wholesale activewear company. His retirement years found him on a lake fishing or at the shooting range practicing and competing in competitive shooting tournaments. He was also busy as the President of the Stillwaters Residence Association Board, and spending time with his family.
Eb is survived by his wife of 53 years, Christine Armstrong Spink, daughter Barbara Gress (David) of Northville, MI and Emily Sprayberry (Clay) of Alexander City, AL; Grandchildren Mia Gress, Jack Davis, Olivia Gress, Eleanor Davis, Sam Davis, Rylee Ann Sprayberry and Thomas Sprayberry. Brother Will Spink (Paige) of Bellevue, WA, sister Judy Seitz (Phil Howe) of Jacksonville, IL, and many multiple nieces and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Elizabeth Spink.
A celebration of life will be held at their home, 106 Aberdeen Road, Dadeville, AL from 2:00 PM till 5:00 PM on Saturday, June 29th.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to Children's Harbor on Lake Martin, AL, 434 Children's Harbor Drive, Eclectic, AL, 36024 or to the Kade Senn Scholarship Fund at Valley Bank in Alexander City, AL.
