Dear sweet Katie will be missed. Katie and I shared in common the profession of nursing. When we got together at family events over the years, or trips I took to the lake house, we loved swapping nursing stories. Over the last 20 years there have not been many times I have been able to visit my cousins in the south, but when there were times together it was easy to pick up where we left off. Katie was always there with an embrace. I celebrate Katie's life and the beautiful person she was.

Those we love dont go away. They walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear.
I don't think I realized it at the time, however, Kate was my guardian angel some 40 years ago. An incredible woman who always offered support, love, and you knew she would always welcome you with open arms no matter what. In looking back, I believe she was wise beyond her years and I will always treasure how Kate was there for us. She is now among the angels. My heart goes out to Joe and the boys. Karen

She was a bright spot in the world, and though she may be physically gone, her love and impact on my life will never be forgotten. We shared many laughs together, and I have implemented many of Katie's classic lines when disciplining my kids. She had a "unique" way with words that made me love her dearly.
