While working in the Alexander City Career Center, I met Johnny (Coach) there in the office during his job interview. Also met his Mom and they were both genuinely "good folk." Since my retirement a decade ago, I have run into Johnny walking either to and/or from work, and have given him rides to his destination. Although, he was now a man, he was the same kindhearted person that I met as a teenager. I have read some of the lovely tributes posted and want to give witness that they are true. Wish more people could have gotten to know him. Our community has lost a young man who made it great. Rest Johnny!
To the family, as Coach rest, May the grace of God rule and abide with you all.
