Mr. Jack Anthony's Obituary
Jack was born in Carnegie Oklahoma, May 10,1935. He was the second of four sons born to Etna and lee Anthony. After high school he served in the Marines and was part of the competitive Marksmanship Competition for the 1954 Honor Platoon. He worked for over 30 years in California for the Department of the Air Force as an aircraft electrician specializing in fuel systems where he received an Outstanding Performance Rating Award and a Special Achievement Award.
He also formed a roofing company and ran that until he retired to Alabama. He didn’t like retirement so he began a third career as a hard wood flooring specialist for Ram Enterprises of Montgomery. He liked everything about Lake Martin: observing boating, skiing and having fun with the family.
He is survived by two children, Candance Anthony Shropshire and David Anthony and two grandsons and 5 great-grandsons. He also had a second family, of 42 years, with Jane Anthony. This included daughters Rhonda Gaskins (Robert), Julie Wright (Tim), Sheri Larimore (Mark), seven granddaughters, and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial Service for Mr. Jack Anthony, 88, of Alexander City, will be Monday, October 16, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Bro. Billy Coleman will officiate. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 16, 2023 from 10:00 am until 11:00 at Radney Funeral Home.
