Miss Daphne Paul Grimsley's Obituary

The family will hold a private graveside service for Daphne Paul Grimsley.
Mrs. Grimsley passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Chapman Healthcare Center. She was born on January 17, 1938, to Paul Grimsley and Julia Bence Grimsley.
She is survived by her brother Andy (Lynn) Grimsley and sister, Juliette (David) Shaw.
Music was the core of Daphne’s life - preforming, arranging, directing, teaching. From playing clarinet in the BRHS band to her final years as organist at Holy Spirit Episcopal Church in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Her vocal range went from soprano to bass, and she performed with great gusto on both piano and organ. Many of her former students remember her fondly as an exacting taskmaster.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
