Mr. Barry E. Jackson's Obituary
Graveside Service for Mr. Barry E. Jackson, 65, of Hoover, will be Friday, April 27, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the Hillview Memorial Park. Rev. Scott Jordan will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 27, 2018 from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mr. Jackson passed away on Monday, April 23, 2018. He was born on July 16, 1952 in Birmingham, Alabama to Thomas E. Jackson and Elizabeth M. Jackson. He was a member of the Independent Presbyterian Church of Birmingham. He was a member of the Red Mountain Orchestra and the Birmingham Community Band. He was the co - founder and the incorporator of the Magic City Community Band. He played the clarinet, saxophone, flute and the piano. He received the position of Eagle Scout in 1965 at 13 years of age. He received a Master of Business Administration in 1993 from Samford University. In 1976 he received a Master of Science in Criminal Justice Degree at UAB. He also had a Bachelor of Science in Accounting received in 1983 at UAB. He also had a Bachelor of Music Degree in 1973 from UAB at Tuscaloosa.
He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth M. Jackson of Birmingham, AL; sister, Brenda Miller of Birmingham, AL; and nieces, Dr. Jennifer Miller and Janet Skotnicki.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas E. Jackson.
