Funeral Service for Mr. William M Whatley Sr., 92, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in the Hillview Mausoleum. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mr. Whatley passed away on Friday, June 21, 2024, at Russell Medical. He was born on August 26, 1931, in Tallapoosa County, Alabama to William Leon Whatley and Aldora Maybellel Forehand Whatley.
He is survived by his children, William Michael (Jackie) Whatley, Diane (Mickey) Voss, Anita (John) Destefanis, David Whatley, Michelle (John) Koster, Chris Whatley, Debra Welcher, William M. (Brittany) Whatley II, Allison (Jeff) Adams; special friend, Susan Whatley; thirteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and daughter-in-law, Cindy Whatley
He was preceded in death by his son, Walter Whatley, and his parents.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Bill Nichol's State Veterans Home, 1784 Elkahatchee Road, Alexander City, AL, 35010.
