Jeff passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2023 doing something that he loved. He was born on December 14, 1967 in Alexander City, Alabama to William Bobby Smith and Betty Johnson Smith. He was an active member of Russell Farm Baptist Church. His passion was logging and he enjoyed hunting, especially deer hunting, drag racing, rock crawling and fishing with his sons. Jeff was skilled in woodworking and mechanics. He lovingly referred to himself as a "pulpwoodologist." He enjoyed going to "the Hut" where he found the most peace. Jeff was known for his servant's heart because he enjoyed helping other people while expecting nothing in return. Of all his accomplishments, his children were the greatest. Jeff was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and uncle who will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Christy Smith; daughter, Kimberly Cheyenne (Bennett) Bice; sons, Sevin Smith, Stihl (Julie Ann) Smith; mother, Betty Smith; sister, Sherri (David) Battle; brother, Stan (Sherra) Smith; uncle, Ed Smith; nephews, Drake Battle, Dustin Smith; nieces, Julie Battle, Laura Battle, Dani Smith, Hadley Smith; and several cherished friends, including long time logging partner, Tyrone Herron.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bob Smith.
