Funeral Service for William E. Penton Sr., 58, of Alexander City, will be Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mr. Penton passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Russell Medical. He was born on October 5, 1959 in Montgomery, Alabama to Elzie Penton and Nita Faye Smith Penton. He loved his family dearly. He loved to help people, fishing, hunting, his hunting dogs, Alabama Football, gardening, his chickens, tinkering, Lake Martin, swimming, and skiing.
He is survived by his wife, Zona Penton of Alexander City; sons, William E. "Billy" Penton Jr. (Megan) of Auburn, Joseph Penton (Ryan) of Alexander City; sisters, Wanda Jo Farmer (Gregg) of Alexander City, Danita "Lynn" Woodruff (Larry) of Hackneyville, stepsons, William Bush of Rockford, Jonathan Thornell of Birmingham; stepdaughters, Zara Bush of New Site, Susan Lamberth, and Anna Holley (Dusty) both of Alexander City; eight grandchildren, eight step grandchildren, and one step great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
