Bro. William Bryan "Bill" Middlebrooks Jr.'s Obituary
Funeral Service for Bro. William Bryan “Bill” Middlebrooks Jr., 87, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Monday, December 20, 2021 at 11:00 am at Hillabee Baptist Church. Rev. Chase Clower will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 19, 2021 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Bro. Middlebrooks passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Russell Medical. He was born on March 15, 1934 in Selma, Alabama to William Bryan Middlebrooks, Sr. and Lula May Rikard Middlebrooks. He served as pastor of several Alabama Baptist churches. After retirement he served as interim and supply preacher at many churches in the area. He was an active member of Hillabee Baptist Church. He past served as secretary of the Greater Alexander City Ministerial Association. He loved music, maintaining a Gospel tract ministry, and tending to his plants. He always enjoyed staying in touch with his friends and family through correspondence.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Anna Middlebrooks of Alexander City; daughters, Mary Jane Middlebrooks and Melanie Elizabeth Veazey (Tommy) both of Alexander City; sister, Laura Aubele of Montgomery; niece, Brenda Slaven of Merritt Island, FL; nephews, Johnny Cannaday (Louanne) of Arlington, VA, Don Zabriskie (Beth), Jr. of Plantation, FL and Douglas Zabriskie of Vestavia Hills.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
