Wendell Howell Moody's Obituary
Funeral Service for Wendell Howell Moody, 77, of Alexander City, will be Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at 11:00 am at Radney Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Bice Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 1, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mr. Moody passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Russell Medical. He was born on August 31, 1940 in Tallapoosa County to Robert Frank Moody and Thelma Eunice Gamble Moody. Mr. Moody worked and retired from Russell Corporation. He loved his family dearly. He also was a car enthusiast, and enjoyed his friends while working in his shop, Alabama football, and his dog Scutz.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Elizabeth Melton Moody of Alexander City, daughter, Laurie Lynn Moody of Alexander City, son, Lee R. Moody (Tara) of Birmingham, grandchildren, Jack Henry Moody, and Harry Patrick Moody both of Birmingham.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Onley Moody, F.D. Moody, sisters, Myrtis Oliver, Imogene Moore, and Shirlene Claunch.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Duncan Memorial UMC or Bice Cemetery.
