Mr. Wayne Kirk's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mr. Wayne Kirk, 84, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Friday, June 30, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. Mike Densmore and Pastor Gerald Carnes will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 29, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Wayne passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at his residence with family surrounding him. He was born on January 8, 1939 in Tallapoosa County to Othell Kirk and Julia Mae Pasley Kirk. He was a dedicated member of Duncan Memorial Methodist Church, and took great pride in being a member of the Gideons. Wayne worked as a salesman for Nabisco for over 27 years. He also worked at the Kowaliga Marina as a sales manager for many years. Wayne loved to go hunting, read a good book, and travel all over the continent. He was a dedicated member of the Elks Lodge. He loved his family and always enjoyed spending time with them. Wayne was always the life of our family gatherings. He loved to tell the many stories of his unique acquaintances and many unforgettable adventures.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Faye Kirk of Alexander City; daughter, Jessica Dianne Kirk Drennan (Derek) of Birmingham; sons, Mark Wayne Kirk (Sharon) and John Gregory Kirk (Melanie) both of Chipley, FL; grandchildren, Elise Christine Kirk, Dylan Wayne Kirk (Carlie), and Kaleb Aaron Kirk; great-grandchild, Charlee Rae Kirk; sister, Pat Kirk; brothers, Allen Kirk, Larry Kirk, Kenneth Kirk (Jamelle), and David Kirk (Donna),
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandchild, Hank Parker Patterson; and brother, Henry Kirk.
