Mrs. Wanda Sue Faulk's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mrs. Wanda Sue Faulk, 63, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the Russell Farm Baptist Church. Rev. Ricky Culp will officiate. Burial will follow in the Russell Farm Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Russell Farm Baptist Church.
Wanda Sue Faulk, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, passed away peacefully in her hometown of Alexander City, Alabama on August 23, 2023. Born on January 3, 1960, in the same town, Wanda lived a life full of love, generosity, and joy, and touched many hearts with her gentle and selfless nature.
Wanda was a proud graduate of Benjamin Russell High School where her love for music flourished as she played the clarinet in the band. She carried this passion for music throughout her life and often filled her home with the delightful notes of her clarinet. A woman of many interests, Wanda was a lifelong supporter of Auburn football, an avid bowler, and a devotee of John Wayne movies, Scooby-Doo, and Murder She Wrote. Her love for nature was apparent in her frequent walks in the woods, where she found peace and tranquility.
Wanda was a loving and devoted mother to her son, Logan Faulk, and her daughter, Brandi Pitts (Jeff). Nothing brought her more joy than her four grandchildren, Noah Faulk, Allison Pitts, David Pitts, and Riley Pitts, whom she adored. Her gentle and loving nature made her a pillar of strength and support for her family, and her love for them knew no bounds.
Wanda is also survived by her brother, Ricky Taylor, her sister, Pam Mask (Daryl), her aunts, Katherine Walls and Dorothy Fuller (Gerald), her uncle, James Akin (Louise), and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins who will dearly miss her. Wanda was preceded in death by her mother, Daisy Lamberth, her husband, David Faulk, her grandfather, Frank Akin, her grandmother, Daisy Akin, and her nephew, Ryan Mask.
Remembered for her gentle soul and selfless love, Wanda's legacy will be carried on by those who had the privilege of knowing her. She lived a life devoted to her family, and her love for them was evident in everything she did. Her interests and passions painted a vibrant picture of a woman who embraced life with open arms and a warm heart.
Wanda Sue Faulk will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved, and her spirit will continue to inspire and guide them. As we bid her a final farewell, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with love, kindness, and a deep devotion to family.
