Graveside Service for Mr. Wallace Tifton Walls, 90, of Alexander City, Alabama will be Thursday, August 26, 2021, at 11:00 am at the Hillview Memorial Park. Dr. Steve King will officiate. Mr. Walls passed away on Tuesday, August Read Obituary
Melody and I spent many wonderful hours with Tifton (and Glenda) and we will miss him greatly. Always enjoyed his many stories and family history lessons both in Alex city and at our home in California. We will especially miss his vast knowledge of things in general be it gardening, historical, mechanical, societal, or otherwise. So sorry to hear about Tifton. He lived on the street near the place I used to live.
I am saddened to hear of Mr Tifton's passing. He was a wonderful friend to Howard Poole & will be missed!
I have so many memories of Tifton that it seems like I knew him his whole 90 years although I'm only 67.
His Dad Mr Price was a mentor to many young boys in the Hackneyville community, he ran a mechanic shop that never had a door affixed until after his death! We were free to use his shop and his tools as long as we put everything back in it's place when we finished! Tifton was always around especially when it was time to gather hay or slaughter hogs. He loved to cretic our work and was always funny in doing it; He tried to be a tough guy but his kind heart would always betray him!
Over the last several years he would come to my house just to have someone to talk to, he never forgot a face and was never unwelcomed at my door!
The last several times he came to visit he almost begged me to come and visit him at his home although due to Carolyn's stroke I couldn't make it happen!
This has been a tough week loosing Tifton, John Kendrick and a few friends, Praying for better days ahead! My condolences to the family, so sorry for your loss!
