Funeral Service for Mrs. Virginia Whiteard Jordan, 84, of New Site, Alabama, will be Saturday, July 4, 2026 at 12:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Randy Anderson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Rocky Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 4, 2026 from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mrs. Jordan passed away on July 2, 2026, in New Site, Alabama, at the age of 84. Born on September 29, 1941, in Tallapoosa County, Alabama to Jessie Whiteard and Clarice Gamble Whiteard she lived a life marked by faith, devotion, and deep love for her family and community. Virginia was a Christian woman whose faith guided her throughout her life and shaped the way she cared for others. She carried herself with quiet strength, kindness, and a generous spirit that touched everyone who knew her.
Virginia worked for many years as a sewing machine operator and later retired from Russell Corporation. She was known for her strong work ethic and dependable nature, and she took pride in doing her work well. She was a woman who understood the value of hard work and perseverance, and she set a fine example for those around her.
Faith was very important to Mrs. Jordan, and she was a longtime and active member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church. Her church family was an important part of her life, and she found strength and comfort in her Christian faith. She especially loved gospel music, which brought joy to her heart and reflected the hope and praise that she carried within her spirit. Her devotion to the Lord was evident in the way she lived, and she was remembered as a loving, faithful, and selfless woman.
Virginia was also widely known for her loving nature and her gift in the kitchen. She was very caring and was often described as the best cook. She loved to bake and cook for others, and she expressed her affection through the meals and treats she prepared with such care. Her food brought comfort and happiness to family and friends, and many cherished the memories made around her table. Her home was a place of warmth, welcome, and good things shared with love.
Above all else, Virginia was proud of her family and loved them greatly. She treasured her loved ones and held them close in her heart throughout her life. Her family meant everything to her, and she showed her devotion through her words, her actions, and her constant presence. She was a source of encouragement, compassion, and strength, and her legacy will live on in the lives of those she loved so deeply.
She is survived by her son, Donnie (Tabatha) Jordan; grandchildren, Kasey (Brandon) Woodruff, Kortney (Lebrandon) Jennings, and Kerri Jordan; great-grandchildren, Brayden Jordan, Kirby Woodruff, Kora Woodruff, and Tallen Jordan
She was preceded in death by her parents; Jessie and Clarice Whiteard; husband, Charles Daniel Jordan; son, David Wayne Jordan; brother, Lamar Whiteard; and nephew, Keith Whiteard.
Virginia will be remembered as a loving, faith-filled, and selfless woman whose life was a blessing to many. Her gentle spirit, steadfast faith, and caring heart left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Though she will be deeply missed, the memory of her kindness, her devotion, and her love will remain forever in the hearts of her family, friends, and church community.
