Graveside Service for Virginia Lee Danford, 82, of Flat Rock, will be Friday, January 16, 2026, at 2:00 pm at the Hillivew Memorial Park. The family will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 16, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 1:45 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mrs. Virginia Danford, a beacon of optimism and a loving matriarch, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2026, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Born on July 29, 1943, in Elmira, New York, Virginia's vibrant spirit and faith-filled heart touched the lives of all who knew her. Her unwavering positivity and affectionate nature will be profoundly missed by her family, friends, and the community that she cherished.
Virginia's life was defined by her dedication to her family and her steadfast Christian faith. She was the cherished daughter of the late Douglas Leroy Kreidler and Helen Irene Kreidler. Her beloved husband, Charles Danford, whom she loved with all her heart, preceded her in death. Virginia's life was a testament to love, resilience, and the joy of family. Despite the loss of her husband, she continued to embody the strength and compassion that were the hallmarks of her character.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and faith in her son, Charles Eugene Fox and his wife, Katherine, of Flat Rock, Alabama. Virginia's joy was multiplied with the birth of her grandsons, Arthur and Kol Fox, who will carry forward their grandmother's legacy of kindness and generosity. Her sister, Jackie Granger, and her husband, Larry, along with her brother, Robert Kreidler and his wife, Valerie, will fondly remember Virginia's warm embrace and her ability to light up any room with her presence. Her daughter-in-law, Hayley McClure, will cherish the memories of Virginia's guidance and unwavering support.
