She was a member of Russell Farm Baptist Church. She worked as a cosmetologist for many years. Vickie attended church and visited the sick in the community and nursing homes. Vickie was known to cause an earthquake jumping when Alabama football was on, fighting young children for the prize Easter egg, and bossing her brothers -in-law around any chance she got. Vickie was always cooking for friends and family, and everyone knew she could eat her body weight in blueberries and anything cinnamon or walnut.
She is survived by her sisters, Wanda Yates (Byron) of Millbrook and Judy Beeker (Mike) of Alexander City; nieces, Brandi Adair (Scott), Delaine Cowles (David), Angela Cox (Barton), and Rachael Dunning (Duane); nephews, Dan Beeker, Ben Beeker (Hannah), Chris Hancock (Rachael), and Parrish Colquitt; a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great nephews; sisters-in-law, Joyce Hancock and Linda Colquitt; and brother-in-law, Wayne Colquitt.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 52 years, Ronnie Earl Colquitt.
