Mrs. Velma Alford's Obituary
Graveside Service for Mrs. Velma Alford, 94, of Alexander City, will be Monday, October 10, 2022 at 10:00 am at the Hillview Memorial Park. Rev. Roger Green will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 9, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mrs. Alford passed away on Friday, October 7, 2022 at Russell Medical. She was born on July 11, 1928 in Clay County, Alabama. Mrs. Alford loved to be outside. She enjoyed gardening and trips to Walmart every weekend. She also enjoyed the simple things in life, like a Coke and an oatmeal crème pie. She loved her family very much and always looked forward to them coming to see her.
She is survived by her sons, Dan Alford and Lynn Alford (Vickie); grandchildren, Tanya Tate (Brandon), Andy Alford (Beth), Fredrick Alford (Heather) and Jacie McLeroy (Trey); and great-grandchild, Ben Barrett, Brynlee Alford, Brix Alford, Axyl Alford and Morgan McLeroy IV.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Lester Claunch and Dick Claunch.
