Funeral Service for Chief Master Sergeant Troy W. Tysinger, USAF (Ret.), 83, of Montgomery, Alabama, will be Thursday, August 15, 2024 at 1:15 pm at the Alabama National Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
It is with a profound sense of loss and deep respect that we announce the passing of Chief Master Sergeant Troy W. Tysinger, USAF (Ret.), who left us peacefully at the age of 83. Troy's remarkable journey came to a gentle end, surrounded by the love of his family in Montgomery, Alabama
Troy was a beacon of light to all who knew him, embodying the virtues of humor, generosity, and love throughout his life. His laughter was infectious, and his heart, as vast as the sky he so often soared through during his illustrious military career. Troy's unwavering commitment to his country was evident in his 30 years of dedicated service, which included honorable involvement in both the Vietnam and Gulf Wars. His patriotism and valor were only matched by the love he had for his family and friends.Born to the late Henry Tysinger and Fannie Ruth Leonard, Troy was a man of resilience and strength, attributes he undoubtedly inherited from his parents. Troy's legacy continues through his beloved family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Gail Tysinger of Montgomery, AL; his daughters, Sherry Tysinger and Beverly Gebhardt, also of Montgomery, AL; and his cherished grandson, Brandon Gebhardt, who brought immense joy and pride to his grandfather's life.
Troy's sense of duty extended beyond his military service. He continued to serve by assisting other veterans. His ability to guide with wisdom, yet always with a touch of humor, made him a cherished member of the communities he served.As we mourn the loss of a true hero, we also celebrate the extraordinary life Troy led. His stories, often punctuated with laughter, will continue to resonate with those who were fortunate enough to hear them. His generosity knew no bounds, as he often gave without expectation of anything in return. The love he had for his family was the cornerstone of his existence, and it is this love that will endure in their hearts forever.
Troy Tysinger, was a man of honor, a loving husband, a caring father, a doting grandfather, and a steadfast friend. His memory will be treasured as a guiding star for those navigating the journey of life without him. As we bid farewell to Troy, we take solace in knowing that his legacy will continue to inspire, and his spirit will always watch over us from above.
In honor of Troy's extraordinary life, his family will hold a private ceremony to celebrate the remarkable man he was. His life story will be told with fondness and his absence deeply felt by all who were graced by his presence. Rest in peace, Chief Master Sergeant Troy W. Tysinger, a true American hero, whose flight through life was as noble and dignified as the service he rendered to his nation.
