Mr. Tommy Young Rape's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mr. Tommy Young Rape, 69, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at 1:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. Noel Vickers will officiate. Burial will follow in the New Prospect Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 10, 2022, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mr. Rape passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Bethany House in Auburn. He was born on April 12, 1952, in Tallapoosa County, Alabama to John Young Rape and Mary Elizabeth Jones Rape. He was an active member of New Prospect Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, taught Bible school, and served as interim minister when needed. Tommy was a Bible reading, God fearing wonderful husband and father who even in the last stages of his life would witness to others. Tommy owned and operated his painting business for over 30 years serving the greater Tallapoosa County area.
He is survived by his wife, Helen L. Rape; daughter, Shelia Browning (Arnold); son, Tony Tucker (Christy); grandchildren, Christopher Adrian Browning (Britney), Kelly Tucker, Katey Tucker; great-granddaughter, Natalie Helena Browning; sister, Robbie Messer; brothers, Albert "Petey" Marlin Rape (Dorothy), Jerry Paul Rape (Shelia), James Kenneth Rape and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, John Samuel Rape.
