Timothy "Tim" Harlan Anthony, age 69 of Fayetteville GA passed away Monday, January 1st, 2024.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia (Ginie) Abney Anthony, son Trent Harlan Anthony (wife Lindsey); son Andrew (Drew) Wesley Anthony (wife Joan) and daughter Autumn Elise Anthony; granddaughters Olive Addison Anthony, Piper Elle Anthony, and Ari Isabella Palmer; sisters Patricia Ann Lewis and Linda Joyce Harry; and 2 nieces, 5 nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Thedford Harlan Anthony; his mother, Ann Cooley; his granddaughter, Kaidence Elise Burris; his brother-in-law, Charles Lewis and nephew, John (Ty) Lewis.
Tim was a graduate of Benjamin Russell High School and received his Bachelor's Degree from Auburn University. Tim was a proud supporter of Auburn University's College of Liberal Arts, Auburn University's Football program and Alumni program. He was a loving father, and took interest in his children's passions, coaching little league baseball, youth basketball, and track and field programs. He always had time to play Nintendo and Atari games with his kids as they grew up. He loved going to the theater and watching movies he cherished as a kid with his family. Tim loved "The Fall." The Fall meant it was football season and Halloween season. He and his wife Virginia "Ginie" Anthony would go back to their Alma mater and pull for the Auburn Tigers every season they possibly could. He was also a loyal fan of the Georgia Southern University Eagles, where all three of his children attended college. At Halloween, Ginie would make the best costumes and Tim made all the candy bags to count how many trick-or-treaters came to their door.
Tim was a loyal and supportive husband to Ginie, and a most devoted father, taking on the role of a stay-at-home Dad as she pursued a career with the Federal Aviation Administration. They enjoyed countless trips to Panama City Beach, Florida, almost every summer and sometimes in the fall during their 44 years of marriage. The beach trips accompanied with his sister Patricia Lewis and her husband Charles, were always filled with the most laughter, the most joy, and breath-taking sunsets.
Radney Funeral Home is honored to serve the Anthony family.
