Mr. Timothy Lee Phillips' Obituary
Graveside Service for Mr. Timothy Lee Phillips, 59, of Alexander City, will be Thursday, November 29, 2018 at 12:00 pm at the Hillview Memorial Park. Dr. Steve King will officiate.
Mr. Phillips passed away on Monday, November 26, 2018 at Grandview Medical Center (Birmingham). He was born on November 21, 1959 in Alexander City, Alabama to Daniel Jackson Phillips, Jr. and Gertrude Reed Phillips. He was an active member of First Baptist Church Alexander City and worked with the media production program there. Tim was an avid photographer and media specialist. He had worked in the media department of Auburn University, Russell Corp, and Russell Medical. He also contracted with Freedom Court Reporting as a videographer. He enjoyed operating a camera at Riverwalk Stadium for the Montgomery Biscuits and volunteered at the Alabama Department of Archives and History. He had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Dawn J. Phillips of Alexander City; son, Reed Phillips (Kayla) of Chelsea; mother, Gertrude Phillips of Alexander City; siblings, Terry Phillips (Sandra) of Alexander City and Diane P. Davis (Jerry) of Dadeville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Jackson Phillips, Jr.
