Mr. Thurman "Doddie" Rich's Obituary
Graveside Service for Mr. Thurman "Doddie" Rich, 85, of Alexander City, will be Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Hillview Memorial Park. Randy Anderson will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mr. Rich passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at Chapman Healthcare Center. He was born on September 23, 1933 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama to Herman Rich and Mary Elizabeth Rich. Mr. Rich was a loving husband, father and grandfather who always put his family first. Doddie was an avid golfer who enjoyed playing with his friends; he enjoyed fishing and coon hunting as well.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Pamela Kay Rich of Alexander City; sons, Steve Rich (Nelda) of Jacksons Gap, Larry Rich (Gwen) of Kellyton, Brandon Walker (Ginger) of Knoxville; grandchildren, Brandi Worthy (Mark), Suzanne Goodwin (Wesley), Chase Rich (Jenny), Ryan Rich, Alexis Cossey , Brayden Shope; great-grandchildren, Sam Worthy, Jesse Worthy, Bryce Rich and brother, Jimmy Rich (Rebecca).
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Jenelle Tapley.
