Mr. Thomas Nathan Lee Sr's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mr. Thomas Nathan Lee Sr., 94, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Friday, January 24, 2020 at 11:00 am at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. Jimmy Allen and Rev. Mike Jackson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 24, 2020 from 9:00 am to 10:30 am at Radney Funeral Home.
Mr. Lee passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at his daughter's residence in Crestview, FL. He was born on October 26, 1925 in Roanoke, Alabama to Henry Laban Lee and Elizabeth McCoy Lee. He was an active member and Deacon of Wayside Baptist Church. He will be remembered for his sharp mind, keen sense of humor and love of his family and friends. He was a World War II Navy veteran who served in the Atlantic. His love of country continued through his lifetime, so much that his son, Tommy, made a career as a Navy officer. It gave his family great pleasure when at the age of 90, he received his high school diploma from Dadeville High School where had been a star athlete prior to the war.
He loved his Church families at Orr Street and Wayside Baptist Churches, as well as the neighborhood families in Ann Edwards Subdivision. Many wonderful road trips and vacations were made with these lifelong friends. He always knew how blessed he was to have these incredible friendships.
He is survived by his sons, Thomas Nathan Lee Jr. (Sylvia) and Randy Lee, Sr. (Carol), both of Alexander City; daughter, Melinda Denise Graham (Mike) of Crestview, FL; grandchildren, Porsche Ferrall (Charlie), Casey Lee (Kelli), Chance Lee (Lauren), Randy Lee, Jr. (Ginger), Craig Lee (Cecily), Olivia Lee, Allyson Jacobs (Jamie), Thomas Graham (Susanna), Elizabeth Graham; 10 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and sister, Alma Keel of Alexander City.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Celia Lillian Lee; his parents; and daughters, Thelma Elizabeth Lee and Cynthia Renee Lee.
The family will accept flowers or memorials may be sent to Children's Harbor One Our Children's Highway, Alexander City, AL 35010 or to Emerald Coast Hospice 550 West Redstone Ave Crestview, FL 32536.
