Thomas Glynn Hunter's Obituary
Graveside Service for Mr. Thomas Glynn Hunter, 84, of Alexander City, will be Friday, November 10, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Hillview Memorial Park. Rev. Ronnie Palmer will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 10, 2023 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Radney Funeral Home.
Mr. Hunter passed away peacefully on Monday, November 6, 2023 at his residence surrounded by family and friends. He was born on August 29, 1939 in Alexander City to Tommy Hunter and Mary Hunter Knowles. He was an active member of Alex City Methodist Church. Glynn retired from Alabama Power as a journeyman lineman after over 38 years. He loved working on cars, rebuilding a 1962 Corvette many years ago. Glynn also loved being outside, working in his shop and spending time with his grandchildren and children. His love for storytelling was enjoyed by everyone he came in contact with. He was the kindest, sweetest, greatest man. He always put his family first. Glynn loved his children and grandchildren with his whole heart.
He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Parks (Bo); son, Tommy Hunter (Tippy) both of Alexander City; grandchildren, Lauren McDaniel, Dalton Parks, Sawyer Parks, Emma Tapley, and Hank Hunter; sister, Linda Brock (Wyndle) of Alexander City; special friend, Gail Lewis; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Hunter; daughter, April Dawn Hunter; and his parents.
The family will accept flowers, or donations may be made to the Alexander City Methodist Church Building Fund 1020 11th Ave. N. Alexander City, AL 35010.
