Mr. Terry Nall's Obituary
A Memorial Service for Mr. Terry Nall, 59, of Ashland, AL will be at a later date.
Terry Cleveland Nall was born on October 17, 1966 in Andalusia, Al to Carolyn Janet Brownlee and Claude Nathan Nall. He grew up in Ashland, AL and graduated from Clay County High School in 1984.
He attended Central Alabama Community College in Alexander City and Later Auburn University where he earned a degree in communications. Later in life he returned to CACC where he studied his true loves of botany and technology and he earned an Associates Degree in Computer Science.
Terry was always innovative, and was a communications genius. He made an AMV using War Pigs and that cutscene from Legend of Dragoon almost 8 years before that would become an internet phenomenon. The work he and Loretta did on Pot TV, while modeled after traditional newscasts, used the internet in a way that bloggers, YouTubers, and podcasters wouldn't master for another 20 years.
Terry loved to make music and would often get his daughter Bell to sing along to the music he made on his keyboard or guitar.
Terry loved nature. At one point in his life he would come home from his awful chicken plant job and spend hours in the woods hauling huge boulders back to his yard and used them to make a beautiful rock garden where he grew tomato plants over 7 ft tall. His home was filled with all kinds of plants that he nurtured and cared for.
Later in life it was discovered that he was on the Asperger's end of the Autism spectrum which explained his genius nature and why it was hard for him to communicate and form lasting relationships outside his immediate family. Terry was always kind to plants, animals and other people even though the world was unkind to him. He never saw a turtle or venomous snake in the road that he didn't stop to help and showed his wife and children how to make living earrings by getting bright green Anole lizards to clamp their mouths on his ear lobes.
In 1992 Terry joined the United States Army to provide for his family and is a Gulf War Veteran.
Terry is survived by his wife of 36 years Loretta Sapp Nall and two children Alexander Claude Nall and Julia Isabella Nall of West Chester Ohio.
The family would like to thank Lynn Gardner and John "Goober" Jacks for their friendship to Terry in the last years of his life.
Radney Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Terry Nall.
