Teddy Brodka, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. A longtime resident of Kellyton, AL, Teddy's gentle spirit and handy nature left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Teddy is survived by his beloved wife of many years, Suzie Whitehead Brodka, who was his partner in all of life's adventures. Together, they raised a beautiful family, including their son Jeremy Brodka, daughter Staci Ozgowicz Powell and her husband Tyler Powell, and son Raymond J. Ozgowicz and his wife Jessica. Teddy's joy was multiplied by his grandchildren, Ethan and Evan Ozgowicz, and Xavier and Ezekiel Powell, who will carry his legacy of thoughtfulness and kindness. He also leaves behind his sister, Krystyn Paschal, who will miss his brotherly love and support. Teddy was preceded in death by his parents, Rozalia and Wojciech Brodka, and his brother, Henry Brodka, who have welcomed him into eternal peace.
For over three decades, Teddy was a dedicated employee at Nelson Electric Motors, where he applied his technical skills and diligent work ethic.
Teddy's interests painted the picture of a man who loved life's simple pleasures. He was an avid fan of the Auburn Tigers, showing his support with unwavering enthusiasm. He enjoyed settling down to watch episodes of "Cops" on television. Teddy also found great joy in family trips, whether it was feeling the sand between his toes at the beach or breathing in the crisp mountain air. However, nothing compared to the time spent with his family, which was truly his greatest passion.
Known for his gentle demeanor, Teddy approached every situation with a calm and compassionate heart. His hands, always ready to fix what was broken or create what was needed, were a testament to his handy nature. He was the quiet strength of his family, a thoughtful man who listened more than he spoke, and when he did speak, his words were filled with wisdom and love.
Teddy Brodka's life was a tapestry woven with love, dedication, and quiet strength. His memory will be cherished and kept alive in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. As we say goodbye to Teddy, we celebrate the life he lived and the many ways he enriched our lives. He will be deeply missed, but his gentle spirit will continue to guide us, just as the memory of his warm smile will continue to light our way.
