Tammy Lynn Doler Smith, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away surrounded by her loving family on September 24, 2023, after a long and brave battle with cancer. Born on December 27, 1973, she was a beacon of selfless love and kindness, whose radiant spirit touched all who knew her.
Tammy was a dedicated employee of Russell Corporation, where she was known for her hard work and commitment. Her devotion extended beyond her professional life, as she was the glue that held her family together. To her children, they were blessed to call her "Mama." Her grandchildren, who lovingly called her "Nanny," were the light of her life. Tammy was a rock, a fierce survivor, and a type of soul that people aspire to be. She was an inspiration to others and would leave kindness wherever she went.
Tammy was just a "good ole" southern woman who enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. She liked riding four-wheelers, fishing, watching football, and making sure that her home was clean. She never turned down a good steak and potatoes meal and was known for being a godly woman.
Tammy is survived by her husband, Johnny A. Smith; children, Blake (Ashleigh) Bolan, Eric (Danielle) Doler, Heather Smith; grandchildren, Cody Doler, Ayden Smith, Kolby Bolan, Addyson Doler, Brandy Ward, BlakeLynn Bolan (on the way!); mother, Judy Ann Gaither; father, Ricky Dale (Nancy) Doler; sisters, Deborah (Doug) Bowen, Tonya Meadows; brother, Kevin Doler; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Serenity Birks.
