Mrs. Tammie Ashworth Moody's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mrs. Tammie Ashworth Moody, 64, of Lafayette, Alabama, will be Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at 3:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of LaFayette. Randy Anderson and Rev. Scott Ferguson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Lafayette City Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm at First Baptist Church of LaFayette.
Mrs. Moody passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023, at her residence. She was born on September 13, 1958, in Sylacauga, Alabama to Houston Howard Ashworth and Pauline Conner Ashworth. She was an active member of First Baptist Church and ran the nursery there for many years. She worked in the Admissions Office of Southern Union State Community College. Mrs. Moody’s life revolved around her family and their activities. She especially enjoyed times at the beach with them.
She is survived by her husband, Barry D. Moody of Lafayette; daughters, Nicole Johnson (J.J.), and Meagan Pollard (Jamey), both of LaFayette; grandchildren, McKenzie Johnson, Trenter Johnson, Wrangler Pollard, and Roper Pollard.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Polly Ashworth.
Pallbearers will be J.J. Johnson, Jamey Pollard, McKenzie Johnson, Trenter Johnson, Roper Pollard, Wrangler Pollard, Jeffery Graham, and Van Barker. Honorary Pallbearers will be Josh Graham and Jackson Graham.
