Mr. Steven "Stevo" Travis Blake's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mr. Steven Travis Blake, 33, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Sunday, July 23, 2023 at 3:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Pastor Adam Turner will officiate. Burial will follow in the Kendrick Baptist Church Cemetery in Nixburg. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 22, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Steven Travis Blake, fondly known as Stevo, was born on July 2, 1990, in Alexander City, Alabama, and passed away in the same city on July 17, 2023. Stevo was a cherished member of his family, a hard worker, and a man whose generosity and humor left an indelible impression on all who knew him.
Stevo is survived by his loving daughters, Zanovia Martin-Blake, Akira Martin-Blake, and Azariah’lynn Blake, and his son, La'Travis Eli Blake. He was the beloved son of Donna Tilley and Eddie Tilley (Susan), Step Father, Jabier De La Cruiz, and a devoted brother to Joshua Tilley (Susan) and Michael Tilley. Stevo was also the proud uncle of Kimberly Tilley, and leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss his bright spirit and infectious laughter. He was preceded in death by his sister, Kimberly Blake, and his grandparents, Janice Cannon, James Blake, and Arvil and Vivian Tilley.
Stevo's work as a Mobile Home Mover and Setter was a testament to his hardworking nature. He took great pride in his work, often going above and beyond to ensure the job was done right. His colleagues and clients remember him as a dependable worker who always had a smile on his face and a kind word to share.
Stevo had a deep love for his family, and spending time with his children was his greatest joy. He was a dedicated and loving father, always making time for family outings, games, and special moments. He was an ardent Alabama fan, often seen cheering on his team with his kids by his side. His love for his dogs was immeasurable, and they were his faithful companions until the end.
Generosity was at the heart of Stevo's character. He was known for his selfless acts, always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His doors were always open, and he would willingly give his last to help a friend or even a stranger.
