Mrs. Sherry Lynn Blakley's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mrs. Sherry Lynn Blakley, 62, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Monday, August 2, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Dr. John Watkins and Bro. Ricky Worthy will officiate. Burial will follow in the Alexander City Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 2, 2021 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mrs. Blakley passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Russell Medical. She was born on October 28, 1958 in Alexander City, Alabama to Emory W. Camp and Lisa A. Chatom Camp. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church. She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Sherry loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them. She loved to help others and was a good listener to anyone that needed her. Sherry enjoyed watching NCIS, Criminal Minds, and Ghost Hunters. She also enjoyed working word puzzle books and growing flowers. Sherry was a very strong-willed person that fought a hard fight with cancer and beat it twice. She had a passion for animals also.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Charles "Chuck" Blakley; daughters, Crystal Lynn Cox and Linda Sue "Susie" Blakley; sons, Richard Lee McCollum and Eddie Lee Cox; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; sisters, Kathy Gallaway, Susan Tilley, and Johnnie Dean; brothers, Jerry Laster, Randy Laster, and Kenny Camp; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Daniel Ray Blakley and Willie Ray Blakley; mother, Lisa A. Dean; father, Emory W. Camp; stepmother, Bama Lee Camp, and stepfather, Daniel Dean.
