Shelia Bryant's Obituary
Memorial Service for Mrs. Shelia Bryant, 74, of Alexander City, will be held at a later date.
She is survived by her son, John McDaniel of Alexander City, AL, daughter-in-law, Melinda McDaniel, 8 grandchildren, cousins, Susan (Ray) Hardy, Bonita (Dale) Calhoun, Janett (Eddie) Hyder, and David (Tammy) Bryant.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Bryant, mother, Lena Bryant, son, Ronnie McDaniel.
Shelia Ann Bryant, a spirited soul known for her adventurous spirit and interesting personality, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on November 15, 1950, Shelia's early years were marked by a zest for life and a dedication to her community that would become the hallmark of her days. She attended Duncan Memorial Methodist Church.
A proud graduate of Benjamin Russell High School in 1969, Shelia carried her passion for learning and helping others into her professional life. She continued her education at the Sylacauga School of Nursing, where she earned her RN degree in 1975, embarking on a career that would touch countless lives with care and compassion.
Shelia's nursing career was more than a profession; it was a calling. Her colleagues often spoke of her unwavering dedication to her patients and her ability to bring light and laughter into even the most challenging situations. Shelia's work was an extension of her adventurous nature.
In her personal life, Shelia was just as dynamic. She had a knack for making the ordinary extraordinary, infusing her daily activities with the same enthusiasm she brought to her professional endeavors. Friends and family will remember her as the life of the party, a woman who could find adventure in the simplest of moments and taught others to do the same.
Shelia's legacy is one of joy, service, and an unwavering commitment to the adventure of life. Her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her, but her spirit will continue to inspire those she leaves behind. At a later date, Shelia's memory will be cherished and celebrated, as we honor a life well-lived and a woman well-loved.
