Mrs. Santana Marie Gillum's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mrs. Santana Marie Gillum, 82, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Monday, July 12, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Marshall Street Church. Rev. Rick Levell will officiate. Burial will follow in the Perryville Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 12, 2021 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at Marshall Street Church.
Mrs. Gillum passed away on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at her residence. She was born on July 25, 1938 in Fort Garland, Colorado to John Martinez and Geneva Medina Martinez. She was an active member of Marshall Street Church and loved her church family dearly. She loved reading her Bible, hunting, fishing, searching for arrowheads and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Lia Veronica Butler (John Earl McWhorter); sons, Jimmy Lee Butler and Marion John Butler (Kitty Heinz); grandchildren, Justin Chase Estes (Tiffany), Brittany Butler Thornton (Corey), Chris Yates, Tabitha Dawn Butler (Jonathan Denis), Jason Lynn Tapley and Nathan Todd; great-grandchildren, Amberlyn Grace Butler, Harlen Gage Butler, Tyler Tapley, Dillon Tapley, Hayden Tapley, Ainsley Estes, Olivia Estes, KD Estes, Marley Yates and Chanel Yates; sister, Lorraine Martinez; and her precious fur baby, Shadow.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Mae Dean Tapley and Melinda Foremsky, grandson, Thomas Michael Butler; great-grandson, Brayden Yates; sisters, Mary Martinez, Katie Martinez and Bernice Martinez; brothers, Tommy Martinez and Carl Martinez.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be given to Radney Funeral Home is assist with funeral expenses.
