Funeral Service for Mrs. Sandra Jeanette Peters, 73, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Friday, March 7, 2025, at 11:00 am at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. Shane Harris will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.

Sandra, a beacon of love and selflessness, left this world enriched by her presence and is now reunited with her beloved husband, Ronald Olin Peters, who preceded her in death, as well as her cherished parents, Donald Ezra Lumpkin, and Jewell Lumpkin.
Born into a world that would be forever brightened by her spirit, Sandra's life journey began as the daughter of Donald and Jewell Lumpkin. She grew into a remarkable woman, whose faith-filled demeanor and loving heart touched all who knew her. Sandra's professional life was marked by unwavering dedication; she spent an impressive 49 years at Russell Corporation as an inspector and 32 years serving the community at Walmart.
Sandra's legacy of love continues through her devoted family. She is survived by her caring daughter, Melinda (Michael) Barnett of Alexander City, AL, and her son, Jeremy (Kim) Flournoy of Kellyton, AL. Sandra's joy was multiplied by her grandchildren, Tyler McKinney, Tanner Barnett, Madison Barnett, and Meghan Flournoy, who knew her as the best Nana in the world. Her brothers, Ricky (Brenda) Thornton, Donnie (Mary) Lumpkin, Mike Lumpkin, and Jack (Angie) Tilley, along with her sister, Gloria (Jim) Grimes, will forever cherish the memories of their sister's kindred spirit.
Sandra's life was a testament to the power of giving. With a servant's heart of gold, she was the epitome of selflessness. Her grandchildren were the apple of her eye, and she demonstrated her boundless love by picking them up from school every day, a testament to her unwavering commitment to family.
