Mrs. Ruth Roberts Carlisle's Obituary
Graveside service for Mrs. Ruth Roberts Carlisle, 95, of Alexander City, will be Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the Hillview Memorial Park. Dr. Todd Henderson will officiate.
Mrs. Carlisle passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Oak Park Nursing Home. She was born on March 21, 1920 in Cleveland, Ohio to Carl Edward Roberts and Elfie Margaeritte Cooke Roberts. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Carlisle was an accomplished musician and played the organ at First United Methodist Church for many years. She also ran the gift shop in Carlisle Drugs and was an excellent cook.
She is survived by her sons, W. Homer Carlisle, III (Hilda), of Auburn and Robert Edward Carlisle of Flowery Branch, GA; grandsons, W. Homer Carlisle, IV, Noah Simmons Carlisle, and Jonah Edward Carlisle.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W. Homer Carlisle, Jr. and her parents.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to First United Methodist Church, 310 Green Street, Alexander City, AL 35010.
