Mrs. Ruby Gaye Roberts' Obituary
Funeral Service for Mrs. Ruby Gaye Roberts, 88, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Monday, June 19, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. Tim Harris will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 19, 2023 from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mrs. Roberts passed away on Friday, June 16, 2023 at Russell Medical. She was born on May 31, 1935 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama to Alto Oliver and Lena Mae Hand Oliver. She was a member of Comer Memorial Baptist Church and retired after over 40 years from the Banking Industry in Alexander City. Mrs. Roberts loved spending time with her family and friends, especially going on road trips with her son, Phillip. She also enjoyed shopping, eating out, and traveling.
She is survived by her son, Phillip Randall Roberts (Pam) of Montgomery, Alabama; grandson, James Noah Roberts of Montgomery, Alabama; sister, Wynell Coker of New Site, Alabama; niece, Ann O. Bruce (Windell); nephews, Roger Coker, David Oliver (Carol), Ronnie Coker (Joyce), Mike Oliver, and Steve Oliver; several great nieces and nephews; and sister in law, Frances Johns.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Denny Roberts; parents; and brothers, Hugo Oliver and Wilbur D. Oliver.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to, Comer Memorial Baptist Church, 341 East Church Street, Alexander City, Alabama 35010.
