Mrs. Ruby Lee Hurst's Obituary
Graveside service for Mrs. Ruby Lee Hurst, 97, of Goodwater, will be Monday, December 23, 2013 at 3:00 pm at Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 23, 2013 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home. \r\n\r\n Mrs. Hurst passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2013. She was born on November 13, 1916 in Sylacauga, Alabama to James Cary Smith and Katie Mae Chappell Smith. She was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Mrs. Hurst enjoyed traveling to Europe, Hawaii, Germany and Virginia. She loved going to Sunday school, church and singing. She took part as a Scout leader for many years. She found peace by reading and riding the ranger through the woods. \r\n\r\nShe is survived by her daughter, Kathi A. Moore (Billy), of Jacksons Gap and son, William Cary Hurst (June), of Weaver; grandchildren, Christy Lee Clayton (Randy) and Stacey Hurst both of Weaver, Luke Hurst (Tiffiny) and Stephen Hurst both of Jacksonville; great-grandchildren, Ranley Clayton, Analee Hurst, Chase Clayton, Brenan Hurst and Ryan Clayton; sister, Emma Jeanne Claybrooks (Charles) and brother, Jimmy Walls Smith of Birmingham.\r\n\r\nShe was preceded in death by her spouse, William Joseph Hurst; her parents; brothers, Lewis Smith and J.
