Mr. Roy Stroud's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mr. Roy Stroud, 85, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Randy Anderson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Russell Farms Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 16, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mr. Stroud passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 in Sunny Hills, Florida. He was born on July 29, 1931 in Wetumpka, Alabama to Asbury Stroud and Elizabeth Pearl Stroud. He was a member of Russell Farms Baptist Church. Mr. Stroud was a dedicated family man, and family was more important to him than worldly possessions. He worked at Russell Corporation for 25 years, and he enjoyed building furniture in his wood shop.
He is survived by his daughter, Sharon Kirk (Mark) of Sunny Hills, FL; son, Rodney Stroud of Alexander City; granddaughter, Elise Kirk; and grandson, Dylan Kirk.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Royster Stroud; his first wife, Gaynell Mask Stroud, and his parents.
