Mrs. Rosa Eva Browning's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mrs. Rosa Eva Browning, 95, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 1:00 pm at the New Pine Grove Baptist Church. Rev. Wayne Cowhick will officiate. Burial will follow in the Concord Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 30, 2021 from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm at New Pine Grove Baptist Church.
Mrs. Browning passed away on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at her residence. She was born on December 14, 1925 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama to Braska Lee Moncrief and Mamie Elizabeth Darden Moncrief. She was a member of New Elkahatchee Baptist Church and was a former member of New Pine Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed tending to her flowers and she always had beautiful rose bushes. Her all time favorite thing to do, was to go to singings. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and talking on the phone. She loved her family very much, especially all of her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary Jane Campbell of Mobile and Patricia Browning Peoples of Rockford; son, James Vance Browning of Alexander City and Wilbur Arnold Browning (Sheila Renee) of Alexander City; brothers, James Dalton Moncrief and Boland Moncrief; grandchildren, Sherrie McDaniel, Charles "Chuck" Marshall, Connie Lynn Campbell, Mary Boudreaux (Kenneth), James Michael Browning, Johnathan Browning and Christopher Adrian Browning (Britney); great-grandchildren, Summer Lynn Marshall, Terry Lee Marshall, Valerie Nicole McDaniel, Christopher Ray Marshall, Miranda Marshall, Gavin Michael Browning, Amber D'Olimpio (Russell), Corey Bishop, Natalie Browning, Lonnie Campbell V., Ryleigh Campbell; and ten great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Wilbur Browning; daughters, Mamie France Browning Watts and Peggy Marie Browning; sons, Billie Joe Browning and Jackie Browning; brothers, Braska Lemont Moncrief and Roland I. Moncrief; sisters, Annie M. Gallander, Mamie L. Moncrief Smith, Ravera E. Moncrief Prusack and Edith B. Moncrief Ledbetter; and grandchildren, Cindy Marshall Harper, Brandy Cofield and Lonnie Campbell IV.
