Mr. Ronnie Joe Thomas Sr.'s Obituary
Mr. Ronnie Joe Thomas, Sr. passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. He was born on August 31, 1957 in New Jersey to Albert Thomas and Agnes Whatley. Ronnie worked as a security guard at Russell Corporation for many years. He was an outdoorsman and found solace in the serenity of nature. Ronnie was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was also an avid Auburn fan. His enthusiasm for Auburn was contagious, bringing together family and friends to share in the excitement.
Ronnie is survived by his daughters, Kimberly DeLong, Cassey D. Thomas, and Trinity Lee Angle; son, Ronnie Joe (Tiffany Jones) Thomas, Jr.; grandchildren, Dalton Eric Moon, Austin Kyle Moon, Samuel Joseph Schuler, Cailin Annie Steeves, Preston Michael Steeves, Grant Jones, Gavin Joseph Cacace, and Lesleigh Rayne Moon; great-grandchildren, Skylar Elizabeth Moon, McCoy R Moon, Ivy Reese Moon, and Mason Brody Traylor; brother, Terry (Brenda) Whatley; and ex-wife, Shirley Thomas.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Agnes Whatley; father, Albert Thomas; daughter, Christy Lynn Thomas; granddaughter, Jasmine Hope Moon; and brother, Roy Whatley.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
