Mr. Roger Dale Morgan's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mr. Roger Dale Morgan, 67, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Monday, August 29, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the Radney Funeral Home. Pastor Darrell Hogan will officiate. Burial will follow in the Brownville Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 29, 2022 from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mr. Morgan passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at his residence. He was born on September 6, 1954 in Ashland, Alabama to Gristle Morgan, Sr. and Annie Lois Walters Morgan. Mr. Morgan was a member of Candler Mountain Baptist Church and retired from Russell Corporation after over 35 years of service. Mr. Morgan loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, reading his bible, listening to Southern Gospel music, feeding his birds, the Auburn Tigers, playing guitar, singing with The Morgan Family Singers, playing in family softball games, and watching Duck Dynasty.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Kathryn Morgan; daughter, Kimberly Ashworth (Michael); sons, Rodney Morgan (Darlene) and Tim Morgan (Megan); grandchildren, Isaac Morgan, Gage Morgan, Luke Ashworth, Rebecca Parsons, Beth Parsons, and Piper Prescott; great-granddaughter, Ocean Marie Morgan; honorary grandchildren, Cole, Jaxon, and Bo; brothers, Gristle Morgan, Jr. (Irene), James Morgan (Ann), Billy Morgan (Janith), Stephen Morgan (Dana), and Joseph Morgan (April); sister-in-law, Rebecca Morgan; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Corey Ashworth; parents; and brother, Donnie Morgan.
