Bird was a dear friend to many people in many walks of life. His loss leaves a large hole in many hearts.
Rodney was always generous with his help, knowledge and friendship. We shared a love of music, boating, camping and woodworking.
Bird and Myrtle were made for each other. Bird cherished the family they shared.
He came out of Auburn University with the knowledge to add to his genius practical skills to become an ace at building. Many structures are testament to his ability.
This man was an example of the best of humankind!
Our time together was short but so very memorable. Rest in peace.
What a wonderful man he was. Steve and I always had such a great time at Bird & Myrtle's when we would go visit. Both of them were just good kind souls. I hope God sees fit to let Steve and Bird have a nice reunion. My condolences to his family. May God wrap you up in his love and give you everything you need during this time.

Bird was a great guy. Always kept me laughing. He will be missed by many. RIP my good friend. My condolences and deepest sympathy for all his family.
I'm so very sorry to hear of Rodney's passing. My ex husband, Danny Wright worked with him years ago. Also, my great niece, Kellie King is married to his grandson and I worked with his sister, Rhonda in the 1980's.
May God give all the family peace during this time of loss.
Bird was a good friend and he will truly be missed, RIP Bird.
I always enjoyed catching up when I could see Bird. We were only able to get together occasionally over the past several years, but we played basketball together in elementary and junior high school. I remember going to watch a basketball or football game with Bird and his family. They played Johnny Cash music all the way there and back. We had a great time. Don't remember who won the game.
