Mr. Robert Coolidge Jarvis' Obituary
Funeral Service for Mr. Robert Coolidge Jarvis, 91, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the Radney Funeral Home. Randy Anderson and Rev. Larry Cummings will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mr. Jarvis passed away on Monday, October 16, 2017 at his residence. He was born on July 17, 1926 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama to Robert P. Jarvis and Alice C. Fables Jarvis. He loved The Lord dearly and was a member, past Sunday School teacher, and past deacon of Wayside Baptist Church, WWII and Korean War Navy Veteran, spent his life as a auto parts delivery person and finally retired at age 81, loved his family, Alabama Football, loved to cook, and was famous for his cheese straws, BBQ sauce, and hot sauce.
He is survived by his daughter, Pat Floyd of Alexander City; two granddaughters, Alison Bates of Hackneyville and Patty Mann (Matt) of Ray Community; great-grandchildren, Rob Vernon(Crystal) of Anniston, Tori Hammock(Chris) of Kellyton, Briley Mann of Ray Community, Kendall Mann of Ray Community; great great grandson, Kayden Vernon of Kellyton; brother, Homer Jarvis of FL; sister, Myrna Kirkland of FL.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Marie Jarvis; parents; brother, Emmitt Jarvis; and sister, Nellie Catchings.
Rob Vernon, Tim Vernon, Matt Mann, Terrell Martin, Chris Hammock, Eric Waller and Kayden Vernon will serve as pallbearers.
