Mr Robert Engstrom's Obituary
Graveside Service for Mr. Robert "Bobby" Engstrom, 64, of Alexander City, will be Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at 10:00 am at the Hillview Memorial Park. Minister Chris Tidwell and Minister Brendan Chance will officiate. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 14, 2023, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mr. Engstrom was born on January 31, 1959, in Meridian, MS, and peacefully passed away at his home on August 11, 2023. Known for his generosity, faithfulness, and passion, Bobby lived a life filled with love for his family and his community.
Bobby is survived by his beloved wife, Karen Engstrom of Alexander City, his devoted sons Michael Engstrom (Ginger) of Auburn, and Kevin Engstrom (Libby) of Alexander City. He was the proud grandfather to Josh Smith, Austin Smith (Alisha), Hanna Smith, Baylor Leak, Ella Grace Leak, and great-grandfather to Ayla Gilley, Oakley Smith, Nathan Smith, and Ethan Smith. He also leaves behind his mother, Barbara Minter of Alexander City, and his brother, Terry Minter (Michelle). He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Minter.
Bobby spent over 30 years of his life working for Wedgworth Pest Control. A man of faith, he was an active member of the Alex City Church of Christ. His commitment to his work and his church further showcased his dedication to serving his community.
Bobby had a deep passion for the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and was an avid tennis player. His love for nature was perhaps most evident in his fondness for vacationing in the mountains with his wife, Karen. Above all, Bobby cherished spending time with his family. His love for them was evident in every aspect of his life.
Bobby's life was a testament to his generosity, faith, and passion. He was a beacon of light and love to all who knew him, and his memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of his family, friends, and community. Bobby's legacy will live on through the many lives he touched with his kindness and love.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Ivy Creek Hospice for their excellent, loving care of Bobby.
