Mr. Robert Edwards' Obituary
Memorial Service for Mr. Robert Donald Edwards II, 63, of Alexander City, will be Thursday, July 9, 2020 at 11:00 am at the New Providence Baptist Church.
Mr. Edwards passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at Russell Medical Center. He was born on October 22, 1956 at Fort Benning, Georgia to Robert Donald Edwards Sr. and Jettie Merle Caton Edwards. He attended New Providence Baptist Church. Robert was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He never met a stranger and loved everyone he met. His hobbies included cooking for his family, spending time with his grandchildren and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Melissa Edwards; daughter, Jamie (Michael) Long; sons, Lanier (LeeAnn) Edwards, Ryann (Mariana) Woodruff, Brandon (Kasey) Woodruff; grandchildren, Camden McVey, Carter McVey, Chandler McVey, Grace Edwards , Allison Edwards, Paxton Edwards, Kirby Woodruff, Kora Woodruff, Isabel Woodruff, William Woodruff; brothers, Jimbo Edwards, Mark Edwards and family pet, Maggie Edwards.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
